Why Shoot with Ming?
- I'm actually an actor myself, so I know exactly what it means to be in front of a camera and to be photographed or filmed, and I know it can be hard
- Because I'm an actor, I work with you like an actor, working with you to evoke emotions and expressions, instead of just telling you to smile or emote, as most photographers do. The process take a bit longer, but I have almost never had a client say it was not worth it
- I've also shot since I was a child, have had my own studio for more than 2 decades, have studied studio lighting on film sets, and so have lots of experience under the belt

- Previous photos are helpful, and please let me know what you like, don't like, or would change about your previous photos
- Any "inspo" or samples is helpful
Before the Shoot - Wardrobe Guidance
Shoots include wardrobe consultation, but I generally suggest:
- avoid busy patterns; simple is better and less distracting;
- avoid too much white or black;
- favor colors that might complement your skin or hair color
- keep in mind how an outfit may look once cropped for headshot or bodyshot
What to Bring to a Shoot (Recommended)
- powder to reduce shine
- concealer for under the eyes
- hair spray, gel and comb
- water
